For Boston Friends…

Gianna Z. and I will be in your neck of the woods this weekend!

I’ll be reading, answering questions, signing books, and doing some fun leaf identification activities with kids this weekend at Newtonville Books.  I’ve heard such great things about this independent bookstore, and I can’t wait to visit!  Here are the details:

Saturday, September 19th
2:00 PM
Newtonville Books
296 Walnut St.
Newton, MA

If any of your friends are teachers or parents of middle grade readers, I’d love it if you’d share the time & date with them.  There’s also an official invitation on Facebook if anyone has Boston friends & would like to pass along the link!

Hope to see some of you there!

Kate– I’m excited that you’re coming our way. I’m hoping to come, and bring along a few kids. Have fun this weekend!

  2. Blog Post

Kate– Tomorrow I am blogging about how to support other writers. Links to your Saturday signing are prominently positioned in the post. I have also done some word of mouth and sent in a note to my son’s 4th grade class. I hope that you have a supportive turn out!

(It seems so silly to say that I wrote a note to my son’s class, but I guess that every little bit counts, right?)

Thank you so much! (And no – the note to your son’s class isn’t silly at all – I can’t tell you how much I appreciate that, especially since it’s the perfect age for this book!)

Thanks,Chris! I’m so glad you liked my website – wish I could take credit, but Theo Black at The Black Arts designed & created it. I was delighted with what we ended up with!

I was actually in D.C. last spring researching my new book, which involves a heist at the Smithsonian! We’ll likely be back this spring, so I’ll be sure to drop you a note before we go.

  5. Kate this is me CRYING because I LIVE in Boston (well…go to school here anyway), will be in Newton on Saturday but it is the Jewish New Year so I won’t be able to attend your event. 🙁 Best of luck with the event.
